LA
We have almost completed our nonfiction writing! We have also continued working on our culminating activity for the novel Bridge to Terabithia. Our redesigned novel covers are almost finished. We have also started a matchbook writing activity to summarize the important events in the beginning, middle, and end of the novel. We are also going to be writing about how the important events in the story related to our personal lives. Next week, we will be starting our story writing unit.
Math
This week we finished our short unit on integers. I am so proud of each and every student! Everyone did so well on our test! We also played a challenging game called Skyscrapers! I want to congratulate Samuel, Danat, Rizwan, and Amitoj for working so well in a group and for not giving up on a tricky task. Next week we will be starting our next unit on decimals and fractions.
Here's another tricky problem for you.
Noah Problem
In social this week, we dove deeper into the rights and responsibilities of Canadian Citizens. We looked at the immigration guide and tried to answer the questions on the fill in a blank activity. Test yourself to see if you can answer the questions.
French
In French we built, built, built ma maison. Today we created labels for each room and the objects in each room. See Ma Maison Vocabuaire to continue practicing.

A Visit from H.D. Cartwright
On Thursday, Grade 6's had a presentation from H.D. Cartwright to learn all about junior high. They talked to us about transit, clubs, different options, and the athletics programs. At the open house, they set up stations that we got to rotate through. There were some really neat activities.
