Math

This week in math we continued working with integers. We have explored greater than/less than, as well as introducing adding and subtracting integers. We will be having a quiz on Tuesday covering the material we have done this far. Please see the study guide/worksheet sent home on Thursday.

LA

We continued working on our nonfiction writing this week. We are all working on our rough copy! Some of us have started the peer edit process. The due date for our final copy is March 7th.

We also finished the novel Bridge to Terabithia. As a final project we are designing a new novel cover, making sure we capture the main idea from the book. Next, we will be starting a writing project connecting the book to our personal lives and summarizing the beginning, middle, and end of the book.

Don't forget about our spelling test on Monday! The words are posted for you.

Social

We are working on The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We completed a scavenger hunt to help us understand the difference between the seven rights. We have included the highlights sheet explaining the rights with examples that are relevant to our learning.  We challenge you to test your knowledge by completing the True/False statements below. If you have any questions, ask your child to provide you with examples. 

French

We are working hard on completing our french house projects. Our next steps will be to add in our vocabulary labels and additional details. Below are some word lists that we are using as a reference.
