We reviewed both similes and hyperboles. We also discussed how both of these can add imagery and mood to our writing. Ask us for examples of each! We also continued to work on our research for our descriptive nonfiction writing piece. We hope to all start our rough drafts next week.
Math
This week in math, we began discussing integers and how we can use them in daily life, eg. dislikes on a Youtube channel, winter temperatures. We also began ordering them from least to greatest. Ask me to order the following integers from least to greatest: 55, 0, 203, -23, -1, 7, -222
Science
In science, we worked on finishing our vocabulary head bands game. Next week we will rotate through experimental stations to learn practical skills using electricity and magnetism.
Social
In social, we reviewed the pillar of equity, by acting out scenarios and discussing how fairness was represented and how consequences are determined after situations are reviewed. We also explored the pillar of justice.
French
On Monday, we completed our plans for our 3D houses (la maison). We need to start building our models next week. We need cardboard, toilet paper and paper towel rolls, and boxes of all sizes.
