Feb. 4-8

LA

This week in LA we continued our research for our nonfiction descriptive writing piece. We are hoping to have our rough copy written. We also discussed the importance of voice in our writing and how this ensures our reader is engaged and interested.

Math

We have continued working with both basic multiplication and division facts, as well as long division strategies.

In Physical Education, our class is learning different styles of dance including: the waltz, hip hop, and jazz.  Here are some pictures of our students participating in the gym.  All the grade 5/6 students had a mini dance off on Friday.

Science

This week, we had fun creating our own Headbanz game to learn our electricity and magnetism vocabulary words.  In groups of three we took turns making the cards, printing the terms, the definition, and creating a graphic. 

In French, we continued creating our templates for the houses we are planning to build this week. Please bring in cardboard.
